May madness: Mixtape # 3
It's a new month and a new month called for a new mixtape. I've been quite slack with my posts because of school and quite frankly, my own laziness... So hopefully this mix makes up for it. In the month where many people are getting sick and stressed, here's some music to shed some light on it all.

Thanks Queensland for creating the perfect lineup that I cannot attend.

Pick Me up: Mixtape #2
In my endless circle and struggle against procrastination, I decided to make yet another playlist.
This is a playlist that lifts my mood and as the title suggests, is meant to be a pick me up.
Here's the music that makes me feel better:

Tidbits.
-My favourite type of art is surrealism. I quite like Vladimir Kush, Rene Magritte and Salvador Dali.
-My favourite movie is Fight Club but the two movies I can never get sick of are: The Princess Bride & Ever After...obviously I'm a hopeless romantic on the inside...
-I enjoy fantasy battle scenes in movies.
-My favourite animal is the duck.
-I love vintage cars, especially my 1960's orange beetle.

Growing Up.

My best friends' 18th parties:
a. rites of passage.
b. celebration.
c. accepting 'adulthood,' whilst being the most childish we've been in years.
This Time Last Year.

I was at school when I took this photo of my friend Jade.
We were so different back then and this was a month before everything changed dramatically.
The month after this started the chain of events that made up my 2009, for better and for worse.
When I think that in 7 months I'll never have to wear this uniform again, I realise that the past six years have flown by so quickly and I honestly have no idea where all this time went.
April Fool: Mixtape #1
It's autumn, the weather is getting cooler. I love it.
I can finally wear my tights, cardigans, scarves and beanies again.
This is my first mixtape, the first of many to come...
Songs I can't stop playing right now:

I wasn't quite sure how I would start this...
This blog; an internet journal of sorts; a place for my innermost thoughts.
And then I thought, why don't I write something about myself?
Starting with the boring facts that people would find out when they first meet me:
I am 17 years and 4 months old.
I was born in and live in Australia but my parents are from the Philippines.
I am undertaking my last year of high school and I am thinking of studying event management next year at TAFE or University.
I've had a job at a hardware store for a year and a half and I still know absolutely nothing about hardware.
I can play the guitar, bass, drums and I'm having cello lessons at the moment.
etc etc etc.
And as this blog evolves, I'll peel back through the layers and dig deeper to uncover honest truths about myself, my interests and the world around me.
This can be my discovery, my journey through words.
